Church Wide Lenten Study and Sermon Series!

This year’s church wide Lenten study and sermon series will be “Seven Mile Miracle: Journey into the Presence of God Through the Last Words of Jesus” by Steven Furtick.

It’s Good Friday. The Son of God is giving up his life. What does he tell the people standing at the foot of the cross, to pass down through the ages?

He speaks only seven short statements. Words of forgiveness, salvation, relationship, abandonment, distress, triumph, and reunion.

Jesus’ last words offer mile markers for our journey in relationship with God. On that journey, Jesus is both our guide and our destination.

This is a six to seven week study utilizing both book and DVD with groups beginning to meet around the week of Ash Wednesday (last week of February).

  • Sundays at 10:15am led by Pat Wilson in room 209 - 7 weeks - 2/23-4/5

  • Mondays at 1:00pm led by Jean Shurtleff at TBFS – 6 weeks (doubling one lesson) – 2/24 – 4/6 but no meeting on 3/2

  • Mondays at 6:30pm led by Jason and Heather Lutz at their home – 7 weeks - 2/24-4/6
