There are many differing views today regarding what “family” is supposed to look like. And there are seemingly as many different ways of experiencing family as there are families. Making sense of Jesus’ view of family is more difficult than we might expect, but we’ll muddle through it together.
By way of a preview, though, we will ultimately end up finding that the family Jesus calls us to engage first and foremost are those we find standing alongside us as we look up from that very place we’ve spent the entirety of the Lenten season, the foot of the cross.
