Invitation to John Disciple Study, Thursdays, 6:30pm, room 209, begins September 1, 11 weeks.

The invitation from Christ is: “Come and see, Follow me”. Experience the magnificent passages in John including the “I am” statements; revisit stories only told in John's Gospel including Nicodemus, Mary Magdalene, and the raising of Lazarus. Participants for this Invitation to John do not have to have an in-depth knowledge of the Bible to enjoy and benefit from participation. Reading just two chapters of John a week, they will discover the life altering stories that will invite them to follow Christ as true disciples.

Robert D. Kysar, Bandy Professor Emeritus of Preaching and New Testament, Candler School of Theology, is a noted scholar on the Gospel of John.

Are you looking for practical instruction and tools to help you grow the confidence you need to take a huge step forward in this area of your faith? Then join the Story Telling 101 class. We’ll draw directly from the Bible to not only develop real life methods to share our faith, but also sharpen our ability to tell our own stories, all while blending our story with others’ along the way. LIFT (Ladies in Faith Together) - Tuesdays, 6:30pm, room 209, begins September 20.

Book is “Trustworthy” by Lysa Terkeurst. In this 6-session study of 1 & 2 Kings, join Lysa Terkeurst in Israel as she honestly reveals the places of distrust in her own heart while exploring the deeply applicable Scriptures that will teach us how to truly trust God. When hard times come and it seems God is deviating from the plan we assume our life should follow, we're more likely to want to tame God, not trust Him. It's then that we begin to press into our ways and our own timing. Contact Lynn Gorton at ekgluvsgod@gmail.com to sign up and get information on obtaining the book.

Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study - Wednesdays, 9:30am, Chapel, September 21 - November 2.

Book is “Discerning the Voice of God” by Priscilla Shirer. God has invited us to know Him better. As our relationship with Him grows, we become more acquainted with His voice. Yet, we struggle: How do I hear God’s voice? How do I know it’s the Lord and not me? In this study, explore a more intimate relationship with our God, one that will help us listen with greater confidence, clarity, and discernment. Contact Barbara Napier at 216.299.5174 or napierbk@gmail.com to sign up and get information on obtaining the recommended but not required workbook (2017 version).
