West Shore Chorale Concert
On Sunday, December 5, at 7:30pm the West Shore Chorale and Orchestra will present a concert entitled "Joyful Voices, Jubilant Sounds!" directed by John Drotleff, Artistic Director of the Chorale and Michael K. Lisi, Associate Conductor of the Chorale. Special guests for the performance will be Choral Scholars from area high schools. The hour-long program will include many favorite pieces of the upcoming Christmas season for voices, strings, brass, organ, and audience. Tickets are $15 and all students are free. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door. Masks are required.
Gifts of Music Concert Series Olympic Brass - “Silver Bells”
Continuing a Christmas tradition, the Olympic Brass returns to our series for their “Silver Bells” holiday concert on Friday, December 17 at 7:30pm. This ever-popular ensemble, including RRUMC’s own Amanda Bekeny, will combine their talents with organist Jeff Acker in a festive concert you don’t want to miss. It’s a treat for the entire family. “Amahl and the Night Visitors” by Cleveland Opera Theater
Join us at 3pm on Sunday, December 19 for a FREE performance of Gian Carlo Menotti's delightful one-act Nativity opera “Amahl and the Night Visitors” by Cleveland Opera Theater. The Wise Men encounter a poor widow and her disabled son Amahl on the way to the manger, and a Christmas miracle changes their lives forever. Sung in English, 50-minutes, suitable for all ages, children especially welcome. Freewill offering taken to benefit The City Mission (crisis/homeless services) along with in-kind donations of disposable diapers and hygiene items (soap, shampoo, deodorant). Reception with the singers to follow performance.
