Dear Friends and Family of RRUMC,
One of my favorite parts of being called to be senior pastor at our church is being able to welcome new staff members to the amazing team God has assembled at RRUMC.
As you know, we have been praying for the next person that God would be sending to us as our Twice Blessed Free Store director. We have been praying and searching and interviewing people for that very important position in the life of our congregation. God has most definitely answered our prayers.
Please allow me to introduce you to Sharon Farrer. Sharon comes to us with a wealth of experience in the non-profit world. She has been with “Seeds of Literacy” for quite a few years and was in charge of recruiting, training, and managing over 200 volunteers. She also maintained many relationships with other non-profits throughout the Cleveland area. That is so beneficial as we look to continue to expand what we can offer our church family at 9900 Madison Avenue.
A couple of our church folks actually volunteered for “Seeds of Literacy” and know Sharon personally. I called them both and they had nothing but incredibly wonderful things to say about her. One of them actually said, “She is an angel.” The best part of what she brings to the team and her call to direct the free store is her heart and passion for Jesus Christ. Everything she does is from a foundation of faith in Jesus Christ.
Sharon has only been here a about a month and already she is leaving a beautiful fingerprint on the free store and the way it is impacting the lives of shoppers, worshippers, and volunteers. There will be a time in the near future when we will introduce her at all of our Sunday morning worship services so everyone can meet her and welcome her to the RRUMC family.
Until then, I know that Sharon would so appreciate your prayers of love and support and also your prayers for a thriving and growing ministry on the west side of Cleveland.
