Mom’s Night Out
All right ladies, enough is enough, we need some time to just relax and enjoy some female companionship. Join Quinn on Friday, September 25 at 7:00pm at her home outside to just breathe and enjoy each other’s company. Take a break from the chaos that has been this year and relax. All you need is a chair. The rest is taken care of.
Hike/Scavenger Hunt - Sunday, September 27, at 3:00pm.
Meet at the sign for the Rocky River Nature Center where Mrs. Quinn will be waiting with a scavenger hunt. Go on a nature hike with your family or together with another family if you are comfortable. Then finish the hike and give Mrs. Quinn your results. Treats will be given to those who finish!
Gratefulness Pumpkin
Join Mrs. Quinn, starting on October 1, in creating your own gratefulness pumpkin. You will need a large pumpkin and a permanent marker. Each day each member of your family writes something on the pumpkin that they are grateful for. Send pictures to Mrs. Quinn. Let’s show the world how much we have to be grateful for during this time!
Tie-dye/Kickball - Sunday, October 4, at 5:00pm.
Meet at Tyler Field in the Metroparks for a fun time of tie-dying masks and a game of kickball. All precautions will be made while playing the game to ensure safety for all involved. Any questions please contact Quinn Bennett qbennett@rrumc.org.
Chalk it Up for Love
Our last chalk party will be on Tuesday, October 6, at 6:00pm. All you need is chalk and a loving spirit. Meet at the church to receive a couple of addresses to decorate and off you go. How long your family lasts is up to you. This has turned out to be very popular and well loved by those who receive this surprise.
Bible Sunday
3rd Grade Bible Sunday will be held on October 11 at 4:00pm in the Sanctuary. Our 3rd graders will have a special celebration to honor them as they receive their Bibles. If you have a child in 3rd grade and have not received the information about 3rd Grade Bible Sunday, please contact Mrs. Quinn right away at qbennett@rrumc.org.
Trunk or Treat
We will be having a drive-in movie on Saturday, October 17, at 7pm. There will be a costume contest and other activities to partake in while we still enjoy the night even though it has to look a little different this year. We pray you will join us. More information to come.
Mission Zone Monthly Collection Children’s Free Store Donations
September - soap, shampoo, and conditioner
October - gloves, mittens, scarfs, hats
November - toothbrushes and toothpaste
Donations can be placed in the bin by the Welcome Desk (labeled “Mission Zone”). Please attach your child’s name on the donated item to receive credit towards their Consecration Sunday promises.
Thank You! A group of our young folks have a “chalk it up for love” activity ongoing and I am quite sure Mary Lou and I were the recipients of their handiwork Tuesday night, August 25. I went out to get the newspaper on Wednesday morning and found our driveway and walkway “chalked” with nothing but warm hearted messages. I quickly grabbed the camera to record their endeavors and they accompany these few words.
