In-Person Activities Suspended

Dear Friends and Family of RRUMC,

I hope this note finds you and the ones you love happy and healthy and safe. Our goal at RRUMC is to work to help you and the ones you love stay that way.

We have been watching all of the COVID-19 numbers, trends, and color allocations for our county and the counties surrounding us. RRUMC’s original intent was that we would continue to offer in-person worship and meetings until Cuyahoga County enters the purple allocation.

However, it is because of the soaring positive COVID numbers, purple designations for our surrounding counties and the fact that Rocky River City Schools are now all on-line learning, that we feel we need to act now.

We have also consulted with our Health Ministry Team leaders and, together, the church staff has decided to SUSPEND all “in-person” activities effective immediately.

That will include worship, small groups of any kind, children’s ministries, and youth ministries. We are encouraging all small groups to continue to meet via virtual platforms.

Our 8:30am Parking Lot Service will continue to meet as it has been. The good news is that our 10:00am Sanctuary Service will now become a 10:00am Parking Lot Service following all the same protocols of the 8:30am Parking Lot Service, creating a new and exciting worship option.

The 11:30am Harbor Service will continue to stream as it has for many years without the current in-person streaming option in Wesley Hall. This will be how RRUMC will operate for the foreseeable future.

We will continue to track all the COVID-19 numbers and trends going forward. We will look to our Health Ministry Team in the future as we make decisions to navigate these uncertain waters.

Please go to our website for continued updates, changes and cancellations. We so appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to keep helping people meet Jesus Christ in the midst of their story.

Your Pastors,
Rev. Dan and Pastor Paul.
