In my line of work I have heard this many, many times over my now 26 years of full-time Christian ministry. People say again and again, “That’s the pastor’s job.”
That can range from trimming the shrubs in the front of the church to preaching on Sunday and everything in between.
In the text from Matthew today Jesus is holding all of his follower’s feet to the fire. Jesus’ emotions have been peaked as he encounters a crowd of people.
