Anti-Racism Study and Discussion Group

Recent events have made clear that in spite of many attempts to eradicate it, racism still exists in our society.

To help us gain a better understanding of this issue and what to do about it, we will be offering a six week study opportunity beginning Wednesday, September 16, at 7:00pm.

The study will cover the history of racism in our nation and in the church, the systemic racism that exists today, and what we can do to help dismantle it.

Prior to each discussion time, you will be provided up to an hour’s worth of background material to read, watch, and/or listen to in order to prepare you for the discussion.

This material will then be discussed on Wednesday evenings in small groups of six or less for about an hour over Zoom.

Pastor Paul will be the overall study leader and he will be assisted by small group discussion facilitators.

To sign up for this study, please contact the church office at office@rrumc.org or 440.331.7676. As the study draws near, you will receive an email with a Zoom invite and the material you will need to preview prior to our first gathering.

We look forward to sharing in some meaningful dialogue around this pertinent issue.
