I am certain that God has great plans for you if you will just be part of that Lenten journey. May you have a holy and blessed Lent this year.

Paul says in Ephesians 1:15-16, “I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love towards all the saints, and for this reason I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers.”

If you have been on the fence about coming back, now is the time. There is a rising wave of faith and joy and celebration as our church sees our folks coming home to church to worship God with prayer, song, sermon, gathering, giving, and so much more.

As your story comes to life, I invite you to prayerfully consider what God is calling you to give as we look into the excitement that God has for us in 2023. Thank you, in advance, for your love and generosity.

Grace and peace are available to you in the midst of the craziness of life. Will you allow yourself to BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD?

That brings me to a very exciting announcement for that position at the TBFS at Story Church. We have hired Lisa Thomas as the new TBFS Director.

Please volunteer at, and pray for, Story Church as that chapter of RRUMC’s story comes together. Thank you Lord for Story Church and our place in it.

I want to start with a Scripture from Hebrews chapter 12. It says, “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

My prayer is for you to have the most powerful, holy, and blessed Holy Week you have ever had. May God bless your Holy Week 2022.

When I was thinking about my topic for this month’s Circuit Rider, it came out of nowhere. I knew immediately that I wanted to let you, the church, know about a new team that we have formed in the church in the wake of the world in which we are now living.

In the Gospel of John, chapter 15, Jesus says, “Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.”

Thank you for all you do to support the church financially, prayerfully, in service, and in your attendance in-person or online. Happy New Year Church! I pray it is a blessed, happy, healthy, and prosperous one for you and yours.

As you know, we have been praying for the next person that God would be sending to us as our Twice Blessed Free Store director. God has most definitely answered our prayers.

May we all strive just a little bit more each day to remove the filters of the world in order to see it as God sees it.

We are being called. We are being filled with the Holy Spirit. This place that I am standing on right now is holy ground. I hope you can feel the same amazing Holy Spirit power that is erupting from this old church building as we transition it into a hub for Jesus Christ on the west side of Cleveland.

Isaiah 4:1-3 says, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

We exist to help people meet Jesus Christ in the midst of their story. The sin and death vaccine is available to everyone. Will you take it?

Nothing can stop us if everything we do originates with God. All of our hard work originated with God. As I put this article together, we just announced that we are no longer requiring masks and that starting Sunday, July 4, all the social distancing markers will be coming down and we will be welcoming the parking lot service back into our Chapel at 8:30am every Sunday morning.

I pray that, in all situations that lead you to prayer, that you believe in your heart and your soul that God can and will always do what he promises for each and every one of us.
