More about the Easter Sunrise Service
We are excited to share that there will be an additional option provided for Easter Sunday worship this year, in effort to accommodate the unique needs of the people of RRUMC as we operate within the COVID pandemic in diverse ways. There will be an Easter Sunrise Service hosted by the clergy and youth of RRUMC at Lakewood Park at 6:30am on Easter morning. The plan is to gather and worship on the “Solstice Steps” along the waterfront. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for an early morning gathering along the water, and are welcome to bring a folding chair “just in case.” Please plan to adhere to the Lakewood Parks Department’s policy of wearing masks and social distancing. Celebrating the resurrection of Christ in this tranquil setting is the perfect way to begin your Easter morning, with the sun (hopefully) rising alongside us by the conclusion of the service.
Easter Prayer Vigil
April 2, 4:00pm through Easter Morning, April 4, 8:30am - around-the-clock prayer vigil in the Sanctuary with 50 min shifts with cleaning between and pew rotation. This year there will be more hands-on activities for children, and big kids too, to ensure families with little ones can experience this time together in a positive way. Sign up.
