Fifth Sunday of Easter and Communion Sunday, Rev. Dan Bogre will begin the sermon series “God Knows Best” with a sermon based on Isaiah 6:1-8.
It’s communion Sunday and we need it today more than ever as we hear the reason for Isaiah not wanting to answer God’s call to serve him as a prophet.
How can we ever feel worthy to serve the creator of the universe? If we just look at yesterday, let alone a week ago, a year ago, or my life before I knew Jesus Christ, I will never feel worthy of the call.
Communion today, as the seraphim did so long ago for Isaiah, will take away our guilt and atone for our sin.
The voice is now saying to you, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” God knows best…always.
