“Mary treasured all these things in her heart.”
These words are used to describe both Mary’s reflection of Jesus’ birth, and the time when Jesus wandered off in the middle of a huge city and nearly gave her a heart attack.
Jesus certainly keeps you on your toes. Raising God’s Son, she was constantly stuck in the uncertainty between what she knew to be true about Him, and the many things He said and did that caught her off guard.
Just as Mary “treasured” these moments in her heart, we must do the same with the uncertainty of the Christmas season before us.
