In past years, our church family has generously supported local charities with donations during the holidays.

This year, instead of congregating with our participating organizations within the church, members will have the opportunity to donate to these wonderful organizations:

  • City Mission - The City Mission empowers men, women and children in crisis to overcome their unique situations. Because no two stories are the same, we create individualized comprehensive programs to assist clients in building their stabilized and independent future. Our mission to reach hearts and change lives in Cleveland has not waivered since 1910, and we will continue to provide basic needs, critical resources, and practical paths to a sustainable future to all who seek our help.

  • Love, INC - Love In the Name of Christ – Cuyahoga County, established in 1998, is a proven outreach which helps people see their identity in Christ and break the cycle of poverty. Love, INC is a partnership of churches across Cuyahoga County to meet the needs of our community. We help with short term needs such as food, clothing, emergency care and utility bills. We also assist with long term needs such as financial planning and spiritual mentoring.

  • Greater Cleveland Food Bank - The Greater Cleveland Food Bank works to ensure everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. We are the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio. Throughout our 6 county service area, one in six people is food insecure – meaning they may not know where their next meal will come from. The Food Bank seeks to bridge the meal gap, connecting individuals with the nutritious meals they need to succeed.

  • Providence House - Providence House provides temporary, emergency shelter to children ages newborn-twelve, who are at risk of abuse or neglect, while their guardians face crises. In our 39 year history, Providence House has cared for over 8,000 children and families in crisis in our community with holistic programs. We are protecting at-risk children and supporting families, strengthening communities to end child abuse and neglect.

  • May Dugan - May Dugan is a respected multi-service center serving residents of Cleveland’s near west side neighborhoods and the Greater Cleveland community. They are a lifeline for over 10,000 individuals and families who need effective and meaningful programs. They provide assistance with finding jobs, food, clothing and legal advice. Their goal is to help individuals and families become self-sufficient, contributing members of their community.

  • Twice Blessed Store - The Twice Blessed Free Store was created to help people meet their basic needs by providing free-of-charge clothing, household items and toiletries to families in need. Before COVID-19, every Saturday, an average of 90 families from the Greater Cleveland area visited the store and shopped for their basic needs, guided by volunteers who assist shoppers. During COVID-19, the Free Store is still open with new and improved health and safety measures.

  • UMC Community Developers Program - The Community Developers Program (CDP), is a network of racial-ethnic congregations and communities throughout the US committed in mission and partnership with local communities. The CDP United Methodist Church network currently has 22 active sites throughout the US with focuses including, but not limited to, affordable housing, health and wellness, education and immigration.

  • Front Steps Housing and Services - Front Steps Housing and Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of homelessness in Cuyahoga County through permanent support of housing and services. Located in Cleveland Ohio City, we provide individuals and families with permanent lifelong solutions to increase self-sufficiency and independence. Front Steps Services include safe affordable housing, client centered comprehensive case management and supportive services for individuals and families.

  • Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Established in 1865, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Cleveland’s mission is “A network of friends, inspired by gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with, and service to, people in need”. SVDP carries out this mission through 2500 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds at its parish groups and hunger centers, including the Brookside Center, who help the poor regardless of race, ethnicity or religious affiliation. This help includes rent assistance, utilities, blankets to the homeless, food, clothing, furniture and school supplies. We are currently seeking volunteers at our hunger centers to help with preparing bags of food, client intake and food distribution.

  • Trials for Hope - Over the past ten years, Trials for Hope has been on a journey of addressing poverty in many forms. It isn’t just about not having enough to eat or living outside, poverty encompasses many aspects areas of life, including physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological. Hunger isn’t a class issue, it’s a hunger issue. One of the biggest gifts has been to not only watch our families who live inside or outside have hope, it is also watching the people who help them see and experience the gift of hope as well.
