Celebrate this season of spring with our wonderful Bible Studies.
Wednesdays, April 14 - May 12
In his no nonsense book “Fear of the Other: No Fear in Love,” reliable spiritual guide, William Willimon, invites readers to consider the Gospel command to love (and not merely tolerate) those considered to be “Other” or outside mainstream Christian culture. Participants will need to obtain a copy of the book.
Discussion on the book will prompt meaningful conversations about the issue of racism and other overlapping concerns that are plaguing our society, as well as the church, in the present day.
This five week book study will be led by Jason Kraft and run from April 14 – May 12 with participants meeting every Wednesday at 6:30pm. A DVD companion to the study will be utilized as well. This study will be held in-person to facilitate more meaningful conversation around the sensitive subject matter of the book.
Please contact the church office (office@rrumc.org or 440.331.7676) to sign up. Questions can be directed to Pastor Paul (pbennett@rrumc.org).
Wednesdays, April 7 - May 26
DID GOD REALLY SAY…?
As Christians in a chaotic world, God calls us to be like Him - shining the light of truth into the darkness around us.
The question is: What exactly is this truth we’re called to live by - and what is it that we actually believe?
From the beginning of time, the truth of God’s Word has been under attack, and His character has been in question. This study goes behind the scenes to see how that happened, and shows you how you can “… always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you…”
Led by Alice Hoffer; Wednesday evenings, April 7 through May 26, from 6:30-8:00pm at the church.
No previous Bible study experience necessary. Please contact the church office to register at office@rrumc.org or 440.331.7676.
