Dear Friends and Family of RRUMC,
I am very blessed to bring you some amazing news. We are so excited to bring on board our new Harbor Worship Leader.
Her name is Josetta Balford. She is clearly gifted to lead and to lead others into the presence of Jesus Christ by the way that she leads worship.
Her passion for Christ absolutely fills the room. I experienced that throughout the interview process with her. It was clear when we welcomed her for the very first interview.
We were all taken aback by how thick the Holy Spirit was in that room even after she had left. One of the comments from the people on the team was, “There is just something about her.”
We now know what that something is. It’s an overwhelming faith in Jesus Christ and the passion and drive to draw others into that same type of experience through worship.
Her voice is absolutely captivating, and with her many years of experience leading worship in two other churches, we know that we are in good hands.
I ask you to pray for Josetta. Please pray for her transition into our church family so that she will know that this is her family too.
Please pray for the Praise Team as they too go through this time of transition. They are a top notch group of musicians and I cannot wait to see Josetta and the Praise Team come together to lead us in worship.
Please pray for the Harbor Service and where God is about to take us through music.
Even if you are not a regular Harbor worshipper, please come down to welcome Josetta and to show her your love and support.
Our goal in worship each week is to meet you where you are at in your life and your faith story. However, it does not end there. The end goal is to take you to where God wants you to be through worship on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Each Sunday is designed to be a journey from where you are to where God wants you to be.
Josetta Balford is just the next amazing step, and an amazing person to take us on the journey.
God bless Rocky River United Methodist Church and our new Harbor Worship Leader, Josetta Balford, as our stories come together.
His,
Rev. Dan
