In today’s text Haman wanted to completely annihilate God’s chosen people from the face of the earth. If that had happened, the line of David leading all the way to the birth of Christ would have been severed.
It was Esther who became one of the most important links in the chain that all of us who call ourselves Christian owes our faith to. Who would have thought that Esther would play such an important part in the Davidic line? God did!
God knew Esther and he knew what she was capable of because of her passion, her love for her people, and her faith in God. It was Mordecai, her father, who continued to guide her and encourage her.
You are someone’s link to faith in their life. Will you step up for them and for Christ when you are called upon? Thank you Esther.
