On this sacred weekend of remembrance, we are called to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who did “whatever it takes” in service to our country to preserve our freedoms. Doing whatever it takes to share the love and truth of Christ, though, in all likelihood, is going to look a great deal different for us. But what does it look like? And how do we ensure that we are making the proper sacrifices to produce the fruit we yearn to see?
The Apostle Paul, free in Christ, but willingly becoming a “slave to all”, did whatever it takes by becoming “all things to all people” to relay to them the Good News of Jesus Christ. What does this look like for us today?
