In today’s text it seems completely counterintuitive. So many times if you get blood on your clothes, furniture or carpet, we are racing to get something to clean it in order to keep it from staining.
In Leviticus we find out that it is blood that washes clean all the stains of the Israelite people.
What do we need the blood to wash away in our lives? The blood was used as a stain remover in the text today for all the people of Israel.
