Hamilton says in chapter 3, “He became human in Jesus. There is something profoundly moving about God actually knowing what we are experiencing as humans”.
There are times in our lives, in the midst of pain and suffering and loss, when we simply shout out, “Does anyone out there understand what I am going through”? God simply responds, “I do”.
That is the God that came to us in Jesus Christ, but in order to know that relationship we need to go to him. That relationship was never intended to be a one way street.
