Scripture: Nehemiah 8:1-12
The people in today’s text were instructed to go and celebrate with great joy.
They were told to have great food and sweet drinks because one of the greatest joys they could have is to have the Word of the Lord and to understand it.
The joy they felt was knowing God’s word for their life. It was because of that knowledge they were told to celebrate with great joy.
Do you plan for joy?
Do you schedule joy into your life?
Do you make a place for it in your daily life, or do you just hope that it happens from time to time?
