SCRIPTURE: John 18:33-40

Simeon is told by the Holy Spirit that he will not die until he sees the promised Messiah. The Messiah who will be light for revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel.

Simeon holds the newborn Messiah in his arms and breaks out into song for he has seen the One.

That is what Advent is all about. The Messiah has come.

Journey with us from Bethlehem to the Temple with Simeon. Paul and I will be preaching together this Sunday.
