SCRIPTURE: John 6:25-40
Jesus often helped His followers understand Him and His Kingdom by drawing comparisons to familiar, everyday objects. Stones, water, trees, lamps, and sheep were just a few.
The use of bread as a metaphor for multiple concepts within God’s plan for humanity began long before Jesus walked the earth.
Yet Jesus would bring fulfillment to this metaphor when He proclaimed Himself “The Bread of Life.”
As a repeated symbol throughout Scripture, clearly this is important for us to grasp.
What does it mean for Jesus to be our Bread of Life?
