John the Baptist says in the scripture today, “He must become greater, and I must become less.” John is talking about his relationship to Jesus. He knows the part he is to play.
He understands how to play that part and he knows that sacrifices that go along with it.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day today, how powerful it is to remember the sacrifices moms make once they give birth to their children.
Our lives are no longer about what we want or desire, they are all about putting that child before ourselves. Our faith calls for the same sacrifice and commitment. Can you do whatever it takes?
