The 6th Sunday after Pentecost, Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the sermon series “Shine” with the sermon “It’s Not My Light” based on Mark 10:35-45.
Why do we do what we do? What is it that motivates us to do things in this world and in our lives? When we serve at a soup kitchen, volunteer at the Free Store, visit a shut-in, is it to feel good about ourselves or to shine with Christ’s light in the world?
There are many references in the Bible about doing things for the right reason, a Christ-centered reason as opposed to doing it for our own benefit.
