Easter Egg Hunt: Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes one of our favorite traditions: the Easter Egg Hunt! We are excited to announce that Story Church will be hosting its 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 16, from 1:00-3:00pm, rain or shine.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the joy of Easter. We invite families to please join us for an afternoon of fun-filled activities including games, crafts, and, of course, the egg hunt itself! And let's not forget the highlight of the day - the Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance for photos! So be sure to bring your cameras and capture this magical moment with your little ones.
Volunteers needed: In order to make this event a success, we need your help! We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with various aspects of the Easter Egg Hunt, from setting up and coordinating activities to helping with clean-up afterward. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents, please reach out to Andrea Kimmel, our volunteer coordinator, at andreakimmel2003@yahoo.com to sign up.
Donations needed: Also, like years past, we are kindly asking for donations of plastic Easter eggs and candy to fill them. Your generous contributions will help ensure that every child who participates in the egg hunt has a memorable and enjoyable experience. Donations can be dropped off at RRUMC during regular business hours by Sunday, March 10, please.
We look forward to seeing you all at Story Church's 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt as we celebrate the joy and hope of Easter together as a community. Have a blessed Easter!
A Big Thank You (written by Cindy Bacon): River Trading Consignment store in Rocky River has become an important resource for extra funds for our free store. When we receive clothing or household goods that we think River Trading can sell, we bring it in and get 40% of the sale in cash. We use this money for diapers, shampoos, and other necessities. We made over $2000 last year in sales! If the items don't sell, we bring them to Twice Blessed and put them on the shelves. If you have items to donate, you can request that the sale of your items go into our River Trading account. Be sure to call to make an appointment with them if you wish to donate. It's also a wonderful place to shop! They only take items that are clean, in style and in season. They have racks of Chicos, JJill, Talbots, Black and White, etc., as well as mens’ and womens’ shoes and boots in excellent condition. The basement has kitchen and bathroom items, as well as other household goods.
This lovely shop is right across the street from our church, so check it out and be sure to thank owners Kelly and her daughter Stephanie for their generous donations.
