Releasing the Baggage of Guilt: Cleared for Departure

6/14/2026 - Third Sunday after Pentecost. Music Recognition Sunday. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will continue the sermon series, “Baggage Claim: Living Light in a Heavy World,” with the sermon, “Releasing the Baggage of Guilt: Cleared for Departure,” based on Psalm 32:1-5 and Romans 8:1-4.

There is a distinct difference between conviction and condemnation: Conviction leads to repentance; condemnation leads to despair (2 Corinthians 7:10).

There is a deception of false guilt.

Understanding that some guilt is rooted in past failures already forgiven by God, closes out our ability to fully receive God’s forgiveness and the freedom from guilt it offers.

There is no Condemnation in Christ. We work and pray to embrace the finished work of Jesus, which removes all legal standing for guilt.

You are set free, in week 2, from sin AND guilt.
