Messed Up: What Not to Do When You Mess Up

Second Sunday of Easter. Pastor Paul A. Bennett will begin the sermon series, “Messed Up,” with a sermon based on 2 Samuel 12:1-7a .

The foundational principle one must accept if they are to embrace the heart of Christ and live as He calls us to is that we all mess up.

The first skill one learns as a practicing Christian is the notion of repenting and looking remorsefully to God in the wake of our mess ups.

Of course, having the skill and applying the skill are two different things.

Today we use one of the most epic mess up stories in all of Scripture to learn, more than anything, what not to do following our own mess ups.
