Happy Father’s Day! Pastor Paul Bennett is preaching from Luke 24: 14-32.
We were created to walk with God. Sadly, once saddled by the burden of sin, we proved completely inept at this. How many years could humanity fall short of our purpose before giving up on it entirely? The same question could be posed to each of us as individuals in our personal walks with God. Humanity could easily have given up. You and I could feel equally tempted to do the same.
Thankfully, though, in God’s infinite love, He ensured we never had to. At just the right time, He left His heavenly dwelling to come to us, to become like us, to rescue us from sin and free us to return to right where we belong, walking at His side.
