The Roman Road: Rooted and Grafted

This faith of ours goes back a long way. We think about the Israelite people being God’s chosen people and we could feel as though we are always on the outside looking in. Where is my place and role in that faith that goes back centuries upon centuries?

Through this portion of Romans we see that because many of the early Israelites chose not to believe in that faith, God opened it up to all people, even Gentiles, even me. We become the grafted in branches of a beautiful tree that has been growing for centuries. The amazing thing is that it is the same root in the same soil that the Isrealites knew that now gives us life.

You too can be grafted in and your roots can find themselves deep in the love of God through Jesus Christ. Where is your life currently rooted?
