Roman Road: “Not Even One”

The second Sunday of Easter, Pastor Paul Bennett will begin the sermon series “Roman Road,” with the sermon “Not Even One” based on Romans 3:9-24.

If Romans truly is the Apostle Paul’s story of the Good News of Jesus Christ, then we must first establish the conflict, the problem to be solved. Every good story must identify this early on. And Paul is abundantly clear in doing so. The problem is that people, on their own, are not good.

Because of the pull of sin on our lives, we are not and never will be good without outside intervention. Jesus is our outside help, our Savior. But we cannot be ready to embrace Him if we haven’t first accepted our own helplessness, our critical state of need.

Let’s lay this foundation together. Don’t worry, once we start building upon it, it will be well worth it.
