That first Christmas, though few, if any, around truly recognized it, marked the very birth of God’s love into this world. God’s love had, in fact, been present from the beginning. Creation itself was an act of love. However, our ability to experience His love had been smothered so thoroughly by the weight of our sin that people had never encountered it with any real magnitude. The bundle of joy that lay in the manger that day was sent to dispense the love of God far and wide on a scale beyond our wildest imaginations. But our role is critical.
Upon receiving perfect love, the love within us must burst into action such that we work to spread God’s love as He has called us to. Are you up for the challenge?
