Because of Bethlehem: Worship Works Wonders

Join us on December 8, the Second Sunday of Advent and Toy Sunday.

As has been a tradition in our church, Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children will be collected for distribution to several local charities including our own Twice Blessed Free Store. Please bring toys for children ages infant to teen, unwrapped so that they can be matched to recipients.

Pastor Paul Bennett will continue the sermon series “Because of Bethlehem.”

For thousands of years, sin had maintained its stranglehold over the world as humanity desperately awaited its Savior. And then one day an angel of the Lord appeared... “I bring you good news. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ, the Lord.”

The Messiah had finally arrived. And while the announcement was still hovering in the stillness of that night, God pointedly demonstrated for all of humanity the proper response to this news. “A multitude of the heavenly host appeared…praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest.’”

The proper response to the gift of Jesus is to praise and worship him with all that we have, not just during the Christmas season, but throughout all seasons of life. Are you living a life of worship?
