Rooted

Join us on February 16, Theo and Belle Moll Society Sunday, as Pastor Paul Bennett preaches from Numbers 21:4-9.

The Garden of Eden was home to both the tree that granted life and the tree that represented our forfeiture of life.

Exiled from the Garden and distanced from God by our new sinful state, what were we to do?

The truth was there was nothing we could do. So out of His infinite love for us, God did something by sending His Son to bring us renewed life upon another tree, the tree of the cross.

Most of us have a rehearsed response to explain the significance of the cross, but in light of our helpless state of dwelling in the darkness between the trees, what exactly did the cross do on our behalf?

We’ll consider this together through one familiar passage and one bizarre story about snakes…yes, snakes!
