Rocky River United Methodist Church welcomes all to engage in worship, small groups, outreach, volunteering, and seasonal events to connect, grow, and serve together.
We will be making homemade powdered hot chocolate and dressing it up as a gift to those in our Twice Blessed family that may be in need of little pick me up.
This year’s theme is Jesus and his disciples (a culinary adventure) focusing on celebrations! The class will study where Jesus and the disciples traveled then make food from those areas. The focus will be on different ways people celebrate their culture.

The Discipleship Committee has been working together developing “Koinonia: Faith & Fellowship.” Open Houses were held to share the ministry concept with those interested in a Sunday morning faith experience. AND NOW THE TIME HAS COME TO LAUNCH!

School resumes on January 5. It usually takes about a week to get back in the swing of things; reviewing rules and routines.
I am beyond overjoyed to share some wonderful news with you: Story Church, our Cleveland campus of Rocky River UMC, has been awarded a $100,000 East Ohio Conference Vitality Grant for 2026.
Once again, I cannot believe that they are all in our rearview mirror already. So, now we see that 2026 is on our doorstep. What is your plan for 2026?

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is one of the fastest-growing and most flexible ways to manage your charitable giving. Think of it as a personal charitable investment account.
God continues to move in beautiful ways through our volunteers, our neighbors, and the ministries that bring us all together.
A small Harvest Celebration included gardeners weeding and turning over garden soil. A weed barrier of cardboard was put in place. After the first frost, garlic will be sown in the herb garden for spring harvest.
Oh, how Christmas brings out excitement in children! The school will stay in session for roughly 3 weeks through December and then there is a two-week Christmas break for students, teachers, and staff.
In December, the Youth Ministry’s Crossroads group will meet Sunday nights for faith, fun, and friendship—including a special combined Crossroads/Common Ground night and a big Youth Christmas Party with games, food, and a white elephant gift exchange—before taking a break for Christmas.
On November 16, we celebrated Consecration Sunday as we look into God’s plans for the year 2026. On that day, we took the time as a church to prayerfully consider what God is calling us to give, what God is calling us to consecrate to Him, and his plans for 2026.

1/4/2026 - Epiphany Sunday and Communion Sunday. Rev. Daniel F. Bogre will begin the sermon series, “Balancing Act,” with the sermon, “The Foundation: Balancing the Inner Life of Spirit and Soul,” based on Matthew 6:25-34.
